We began BBQ Islands Unlimited® with the goals of designing and constructing the best modular islands in the industry. Through smart design, superior construction techniques and uncompromising quality control, we are proud to say we have reached this goal.

Superior Ventilation Design

Our islands are supported along the base of the framing and raised slightly off the ground with Trax™, a composite decking material that is waterproof and which carries a 25 year manufacturer's warranty. This system design provides ventilation throughout the entire flooring of the island. Our unique ventilation system offers several other benefits to our customers: 1) no unattractive and ineffective vents screwed into the sides of your island; 2) your island is supported consistently throughout its frame, not just at the edges; 3) you are able to easily hose out under your island, preventing moss and dirt build up around the edge of your island.

Superior Island Wall Construction

The walls of our islands are made from HardiBacker™, a cement board that is not only strong but also impermeable to water. Atop the HardiBacker™, we apply coats of Senergy™ brand stucco. Unlike regular house stucco, Senergy™ flexes with the heat and cold; thus your island will not crack or peel. While this quality may go unnoticed on the showroom floor, it is something that will keep your island looking great years after your purchase.

Superior Counter Tops

We use only the best porcelain tiles and natural stones, including travertine, marble and granite. Tiles are hand set in the finest thin-set mortar and grout. We use bull-nosed tiles on all counter top edges. We then seal the grout with anti-mold sealant and apply two coats of impregnator sealant on natural stone tiles. The skill of our experienced tile setters is especially evident in their mosaic tile work and counter top designs (See "Gallery").
